TONAL ALCHEMY

Formed in 1996 by Wilson Quah, jazz pianist and Berklee graduate, it was originally called THE WILSON JAZZ TRIO and always featured a vocalist. Through the years, the band members have changed and in 2002, the band went through a re-branding and was renamed TONAL ALCHEMY.

The band members and size of band may differ depending on the type of gig. Currently, the band is performing at 32 The Mansion on every Friday and Saturday evening from 8pm. Their jazz repertoire covers music from the swing era (late 20's) to Latin jazz, Bebop, Post Bop and Fusion Jazz.

On vocals is Penang's renown veteran vocalist Colleen Read, Alexis Henry on drums and we have two bassists, Chong Chee (akaCC) and Adrian Jones who each play on Friday and Saturday respectively.
